Program Overview

Foundations Lab is a structured, gentle, and engaging academic program designed for students in grades 2–3 who are ready to build strong learning habits while remaining developmentally supported.

This program focuses on core academic skills—reading, writing, history, and science—using a steady, predictable rhythm. Students complete assigned reading and practice at home using assigned curriculum, while class time is used for instruction, discussion, demonstrations, and guided practice.

Instruction emphasizes curiosity, clarity, and confidence, helping students learn how to learn while reinforcing foundational academic skills.

Subjects Covered

English Foundations
Reading comprehension, basic grammar, spelling, handwriting support, and early writing skills. Students will practice listening, narrating, and expressing ideas clearly.

History Foundations
Story-based history that introduces students to people, places, and events in a way that builds context and understanding without overload.

Science Foundations
Hands-on exploration, simple experiments, observation, and discussion that encourage curiosity and introduce scientific thinking.
